  1. My job is to make it as miserable for TSA as possible especially if they are making shit up on the fly! I have the time for that. I plan for it. 😂

  2. Thankyou for the advice. First time air traveller. What to do with my passport, do I put it in my carryon when going through security?

  3. No alarm. And the number of times I travelled in the US in a year, resulted in me being waved through security for a trip home. On each trip, we left early morning, and they did have to check several travellers each morning – swab hands, bags, etc. It got to the point where I would hold out my hands waiting for a swab of something. Anyways TSA was doing the passport check and ticket scan, and I was making sure nothing in the pockets. An agent came over asked if I was me and then took me through a closed security line (I thought oh boy, about to get super additional screening) and told me due to the number of times I have been previously checked, they were going to fast track me. They also thanked me. Apparently, I was on a list of safe travellers. Not sure how long that lists lasts but I haven't been swabbed since. Personally, I suspected it has to do with their body scanner – may be I had gone through it one too many times in that year.

  4. I've triggered alarms and I never leave anything in my pockets. Then I get the pat down, which of course shows nothing.

  5. i don't know about other countries but here in Canada make sure all your belongings are there after they scan it through. things like wedding rings and other items have been known to "dissapear" let it be known right away and get a lawyer to sapina the video footage immediately. you probably have less than 24 hours. won't say more but you should understand who might be responsible for the loss. best thing don't bring anything of value at all.

  6. I had a double mastectomy. I no longer wear or bring prosthetics after multiple embarrassing events even when I mention I had them. Nothing like a bra with fake boobs being lifted out of your bag for everyone to see.

  7. If you would have paid more attention to people of a certain religion we never would have had to go through all of this in the first place. We know why we all have to do this now.

  8. Why do you need to have a low- cut dress giving tips? Very indecent and inappropriate need to move though I am interested.

  9. Never argue with someone who has the power not only to confiscate items, but also to strip search you or even deny you access to the airport. I was once asked in Jakarta to take a picture with my camera (probably to prove it was a read camera), right at the spot were all the signs say 'no pictures'. But the agent asked, so I didn't argue and just took the camera out. As it had the tele lens on it at that moment, I had to focus on a point at least 1.6m from me (otherwise it doesn't focus and doesn't take a picture), so I pointed it away from the security station to take the picture and deleted it when asked by the agent. Took me 1 minute in total and everybody was happy.

The same goes for when I'm taking my diving equipment with me. Garuda gives free Sport luggage (an extra checked back of max 30kg), but it has to be that sport equipment and they often check. Don't argue, just show them it's diving equipment and move on. Especially since it's the only airline I know that gives this extra luggage for free.

  10. I carry a cotton handkerchief in my left front pocket. No one has ever "found" this non-compliance. It probably doesn't even show up on the x-ray because the material is the same as that of the pocket.
Containers for fluids… I always pack my carry-on with essentials. A complete toiletry kit of shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, razor, deodorant. There are "travel size" packages of these common items and that's what goes in the bag. My cell phone is also in the carry-on. It's all in there before I get to the lines. The only thing people will see me put in the bag is the travel document folder. This is out so I can show identification, boarding pass, etc. It goes into the bag while I'm waiting in line.

  11. I carry an empty water bottle and fill it after entering the secure area, sometimes they steal my empty bottle
