Japan 🇯🇵

The Peace Tower in the Japanese city of Tondabayashi, a suburb of Osaka, is certainly one of the strangest structures in Japan. In such an unusual form, the creators of the tower embodied their idea of a monument to all those who died in all world wars.

During the construction of the tower in 1970, the latest technologies at that time were used. The originality of the Peace Tower lies in the fact that it was built by spraying concrete onto a metal mesh. That is why the outlines of the tower resemble the outlines of a sculpture.

The Tower of Peace also has one more feature – it has a very low center of gravity. With a height of 180 meters, the center of gravity of the tower is only 12 meters from the ground. This design makes the tower very resistant to earthquakes.
