  1. I've been to nagano station and its city twice last holiday in 2019. first as transit point to hakuba, second as a transit point to jigokudani yaen koen. I really love the city, the station, and its surrounding. Actually its the first city i take a walk through after landing in narita on the first day😁

  2. Hi John just wanted to thank you for the tour of Nagano station, we went there 2 years ago, we hoped you would use the crossing right over to don quixote where you could burst bubbles and kick fish on the interactive screen. I wonder what happened to the planters and benches in front of Starbucks, we sat for over 2 hours and watched a woman tend to the planters the whole time , again thank you for the beautiful memories

  3. You should have taken the information pamphlets so you can put them in safe keeping for Leo when he gets to school age. I'm sure he'd enjoy they stories and you can show him where you were in Nagano! 😁👍🏻

  4. I went to Nozawa Onsen in Nagano via Liyama train station with my family to go skiing. Amazing how we were in snow capped mountains and then suddenly 90 minutes we were in Tokyo in the same morning.

  5. i love japani suohet koriya norhet koriya tayland vietnam china singapur butan relesinsep farendship…………

  6. That Nagano 1998 manhole cover has seen better days. They should take better care of it, I mean the Olympics put Nagano on the MAP!
Nagano was announced as the 1998 host city in 1991, not 93. So they probably made that when they revealed the emblem. To build a Shinkansen line to Nagano with a few months to spare until the Olympics is an impressive feat

  7. Nagano was the first stop on my trip in 2019. It's a fantastic place to base yourself for a few days, there's a load of great places nearby to take daytrips. It was also peak apple season at the time, they were the size of large grapefruits.

  8. What about a video about Dr. Yellow? There is no official timetable but I know that those train fans use twitter by looking for the hashtag of Dr. Yellow.

Thank you, John, for sharing your great video with us.

  9. Sad to hear E4 series (Max Toki and Max Tanigawa) Joetsu shinkansen are retiring this October 1st.

  10. Going to nagano in feb next year. Planning on leaving early from tokyo so we have time to explore nagano before jumping on the bus to hakuba.
