  1. I do not believe most people are judging people on their dress, but I believe for formal dining you should dress up, or wear business casual. Like the speaker said, if you want to dress casual, there are the buffets. We have become to casual as a nation, and have forgotten how to dress for occasions.

  2. ✨Story time✨
We went on Iona in 2021 and I took a photo in my shorts, vest, hum bag, honestly like the fashion police needed to intervene. Anywho, I took a mirror photo (as you do) and posted it at 11:30am on a Facebook group for the ship. Well, I found the fashion police. In the caption I had stated I was going to the theatre for a talk at 12pm. People went bananas at me. Saying I shouldn’t be wearing what I was in the theatre. It’s smart casual only after 6pm 🤦🏼‍♀️. I told them to check the time stamp of my post. They went quiet. I find older cruisers were the ones – and the die hard “I only sail with P&O” peeps that commented. Now I don’t mind those people but I did find some very arrogant folks commenting. We don’t always do formal nights on the ship but we get the odd dirty look when we aren’t in formal attire. Sometimes we’ve done it. Sometimes we haven’t. That’s our choice. But my gosh.

    Anyway. Story over. Sorry 😅

  3. This makes me realize that I’ll prefer the more formal cruises. It’s fun to dress up on occasion. I think if we are a guest somewhere, we need to act like it.

  4. Here's what I say: DON'T DRESS LIKE YOU'RE SHOPPING AT WALMART …. enough said. 🤣

  5. Totally agree about the pajamas. I wouldn’t feel comfortable around a bunch of strangers in a buffet while they’re in bed wear

  6. I spend insane hrs ever day working in very restrictive and uncomfortable clothes so when I'm on holiday I will be dressed comfortably and as I please. Plus I'm Australian wearing shorts is a part of our culture and religion

  7. Great presentation! I was taken aback. The people thought it was OK to wear their pajamas. As I explained to one of my kids along time ago, that clothing shows the level of intimacy we feel with people. That’s why he can’t wear his boxers around the house. when we have visitors. I don’t think people think like that today so bravo for reminding them.

  8. Decorum has died with the "you do you" mindset. Flip flops in the mdr? Is it really such an effort to show respect to your fellow cruisers?

  9. So glad you mentioned bathing suits. I live at a tourist beach in the US and it is horrific having to see some chicks assholes being flossed. Keep that at home. To the chickies, Noone…NOONE wants to see ass checks or your nips.

  10. I just dont understand why ppl are so concerned with what others are wearing. As long as the ship allows it, who are you to judge whether anyone is dressed up enough.I never even noticed what other's have on,to busy enjoying myself. Everyone should be enjoying their cruise and not 6:36 focused on what I or anyone else is wearing. Is this what cruising has come down to ? Clothing watching ?😂 🍹🎉🛳️

  11. I have a pair of black and gray camo swim trunks that I plan to wear to the Mexican riviera. Am I, am I gonna be ok?

  12. I’m never bringing any pants on a cruise. But I’ve never had a problem getting away with shorts or even dressier ones on the elegant night.

  13. I’m glad there is a code for the dining room. There is nothing more appetizing than chest and arm pit hair.🫣

  14. My first cruise coming up in September. I totally agree with pajamas in the cabin. I live by these tips already. Love your videos 😊
