Kabukicho entertainment district (歌舞伎町） is located in the Shinjuku Ward of the Tokyo Metropolis. It can be easily reached by taking the east exit of the JR Shinjuku Station.
Kabukicho is known to have a large red light area and very high yakuza (Japanese Mafia) activity. But it also has a lot of great little restaurants where you can try Japanese food and drinks. As long as you steer clear of all the seedy activity in the Kabukicho area, you can still have great time, while strolling through the streets of Kabukicho.
