I explore more of Tokyo, Japan, the largest city in the world. Beginning in the serene Yoyogi Park and Meiji Jingu shrine, I then make my way to the bright lights of Akihabara. The following morning I pay a visit to Tsukiji Market to try some fresh seafood, before ending things by the iconic Tokyo Tower.

I’m Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and YouTuber who’s been to 61 countries. I’ve been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.

I have travel series’ from many of the world’s best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.

After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.

I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.

I’ve travelled to North America just once as a YouTuber, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.

In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.

I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with vidoes following from India, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan.

  1. I hope you enjoyed Tokyo. It's certainly one of my favourite places in the world. Although, in my opinion, Osaka has a slight edge. I'm sure we'll see what you thought.

  2. I was so close to visiting and working in Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture performer and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit Japan. You have some amazing videos on your channel. Best of luck on your travels.

  3. Even though Tokyo is so crowded, you really appreciate how organized and friendly people!!!! Love Tokyo and I am going there two weeks from now!!! Great Video, Jason!!!!!

  4. It’s impossible to see Japan or even Tokyo in one visit. It’s recommended to visit 4 times. Once per season because the Japanese are very seasonal, the fashion, the food, the attractions, the events, and of course the weather changes around the year. In my experience even something as simple as ramen tastes different with the seasons. You crave it more in the cold winter. Autumn is my favorite and hope you come back one day to see it. Hope you enjoyed your visit Jason.

  5. Where can I purchase Team Lab tickets? Can I purchase Team Lab tickets from the states? How did you get there from Shibuya? Thank you.

  6. Been to Tokyo a couple of times during the 80's and 90's there is a lot to see and do. Back then it was more unusual with Westerners, so it happened that people pointed to me as being almost 2 meters tall

  7. Visiting in October and I think I have binged every Japan video there is. 🤦‍♀️. I have enjoyed all your videos. Really well done. That matcha looked divine. Any chance you remember the name of the store you purchased it? Or vendor in the market? I’m sure they are all over but aaaah looks so good!

Also, what camera (and stabilizer or gimball are you using?

    Thank you again! Have travels.

  8. I know Japan just reopened this year, other travel vloggers got there first, most notably Kara and Nate and Dan and Oskar. So your content although interesting is being repeated.

  9. Japan discharges nuclear wastewater into the ocean! Causing disasters, the world should recover damages from Japan …

  10. 3:15 This torii gate at Meiji Shrine was made of cypress trees harvested from Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period.

  11. A country with really civilized people, France & Scotland (events on the streets of both put both countries to shame) take note.

  12. Thank you for this over all view of Tokyo, It must be such a magical city. I've had little time to research Tokyo, but these 24 minutes were well worth my time !

  13. It seems to be a lot of walking in Tokyo – are the sites easy to get to if you are on crutches or a wheel chair – ? I broke my leg so might have to travel with crutches 🙁
