Drinking With Locals in Taiwan, Things Get WEIRD! 🇹🇼 Free Pancakes, Hot Spring Campsite | Ep. 4

Today we are finally getting out of Taipei County and out of the mountains. We start off on the border between Taipei and Yulin County and ride down into Jioxi City. There we check out the local restaurants and markets to get breakfast and buy fruits for the day. After we leave the city we stop for some traditional shaved ice and when we were leaving some awesome guy comes up to us and gives us some free tea. He then invites us to his shop and feeds us his traditional pancakes along with watermelon and mangoes. Such an awesome and friendly guy! We then get on the road and head into the mountains again. We stop at 7-11 to charge up all our devices and when we were leaving I had to stop and see what they were cooking up right next door. They were grilling up some wild boar on a stick! And outside the shop, they were drinking up and having a good ole time. They insisted I sing a song for them and after a lot of persuasion, I agree. But they couldn’t figure out the karaoke machine and luckily for me, I didn’t have to sing! After the awkward encounter, we get back on the road and head toward our final destination for the day, a beautiful natural hot spring tucked away in the mountains.
