We flew from Fuji Japan to Sapporo Japan (Less than a two hour flight and then a 1/2 hour express train to Sapporo Station).

We stayed at the JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo (part of Sapporo Station.
it had spectacular views and a good buffet with equally spectacular views. hubby thought the room was a little small.)

I bought a flight and hotel package for two night. I probably spent around $1,300 total (for two persons).
We visited Odori Park (one station away from Sapporo Station, but an easy walk in the underground shopping center or outside by foot)
We ate a crab restaurant “Kaniya Sapporo Crab House Main Branch” in Susukino, Sapporo, Japan.
I bought a fancy set and it had so much food and it was lovely. it cost around $110 USD for two.

Sapporo Hokkaido Japan is definitely cooler in weather than the rest of Japan. I hear its less humid in the Summer too. It’s a beautiful city. Although too cold and too much snow in the Winter for my liking (three times more snow than upstate NY BUT it is all connected by underground tunnels, filling with endless shopping delights!)
