The Onigajo is a wonderful tourist spot in the Yoshino-Kumano National Park in Kumano city, Mie prefecture.
Its feature is the awesome view of the cliff and the Kumano sea.
The path was made along the cliff so that you can enjoy a nice walk hearing the sound of waves.
In spring, 2000 cherry trees come into bloom, which also attract tourists here.
Also, the Onigajo is a part of the World Heritage Site “the Sacred Places and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range” and the trail from the entrance of the Onigajo leads to one of the Pilgrimage Routes, the Iseji Route, so that you can also enjoy another walk on the World Heritage Site.
If you’re planning a trip to Japan, why don’t you think of Mie prefecture as one of your destinations?
Thank you.
