Where can I get money in Japan? it is a common concern with travelers to Japan since not all Bank machines take foreign bank cards.
Convenience stores in Japan are rather important for tourists. They have a wide variety of hot and cold Food, small items a traveler might need, drinks, buns, breakfast, lunch, midnight snack… individually wrapped soft boiled eggs…
But the most important part of convenience stores in Japan for tourists is that they have ATM machines that accept foreign cards and foreigners cam get money out.
Japan is a cash based society and not all banks accept foreign bank cards so if you need cash don’t go to a bank. Go to 7-11 or Lawsons. They will be able to help.
