i am from Melaka,,,, Welcome to Melaka the historical city…..
Enjoy yourself
Coming to Melaka is like travelling to ancient times. I've been to Melaka few times n the feeling still the same
Those are called trishaws. Malacca has more history. Its famous for the Baba and Nonya or Peranakan descendents brought about by the intermarry between the local Malays and the Chinese from mainland China.
Nice video
U both made the rite choice, after a hypercity-venturing in KL. Historical Melaka is also fascinating..the straits stretch mix ancient+modernity @harbourfront+ colonial integrated lifestyle by "pan" residents n m'sians….chn-nyonya, eurasians( inter-mix grps, portuguese+ filipinos+ dutch+Brits+ Spanish+Inds…)Dun miss Jonker Streets @evenings…n many many 1-way rd- spectacular shophses, boutique hotels, hostels, homestay, galleries, museums cafes, bistros, bars,…etc
Welcome to Melaka.let me know if you guys feel like having fresh home brew coffee.
The first church in Malaysia is the St Peter's Church https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Peter%27s_Church_(Melaka)
Wow really this is another beautiful city . Thanks for the vedio 🌹♥️
Malaysia is about diversity … every city / town will offer different vibes , different varieties of food , different geography and scenery … unity in diversity
Awesome reviews…glad you came to Malacca
Welcome to my hometown. Superb video. Keep it up.
Oldest functioning church is St Peter's Church in Malacca built in 1710. Christchurch which you visited was built in 1741. Enjoy your travels.
A little note of history of the destruction of the Portuguese Fort in Malacca.
The temporary handover of Malacca to the British, in trust, was made in 1795 to avoid Dutch colonial lands falling into the hands of Napoleon Bonaparte who declared war on the Netherlands. But the British took advantage and started demolishing the Dutch fortified, Portuguese Fort so that the Dutch would not be able to fight to get Malacca back. It took a long time to destroy the Fort due to it's solid construction. Sir Stamford Raffles from Singapore, whilst on sick leave in Malacca, intervened on hearing loud explosions, to stop the demolition. However, he was rather late, and so we are left with just some remnants of the once majestic A Famosa Fort.
8:51 The British when they took over Malacca from the Dutch destroyed most of the Portuguese fort (called A Famosa – the Famous) and much of other Portuguese buildings in 1807.
Kampung Morten, cruised by is a living museum.
You should try to visit Sabah n Sarawak as well..totally different landscape…surely.

Before western colonisation, Melaka was one of the greatest trading port in asia. It was a center of trading point between far east and middle east region. That is how Melaka Straits got its name and still is one of the busiest straits in the world.
It is better to take river cruise at night.
Go for it Two Mad Explorer's..👍👍

You did the right thing by choosing Melaka over Georgetown. Melaka is miles ahead better than Georgetown. Enjoy yourself 😊
You can visit the Portuguese settlements in Malacca. Some of them can still speak Portuguese.
