As part of an ongoing and productive relationship, a delegation from Maine visited its’ sister-state of Aomori Prefecture, Japan, in 2010. Part of the trip was to re-visit the Japanes scallop aquaculture industry, with a highlight of stopping at the manufacturing facility of a premier gear supplier, specific to the scallop aquaculture technique called ‘ear-hanging.’
