この滝尾駅で平成7年10月20日、映画「男はつらいよ」シリーズ最終作寅次郎紅の花のファースト・シーンが撮影されました。鉄道マニアの中では、戦前に作られた木造の駅舎として知られていましたが、映画の公開と同時に渥美清さんを慕う寅さんファンが、全国から訪れるようになりました。「男はつらいよ」メモリアルとして、また失われつつある日本の原風景を訪ねる旅として、寅さんが歩いた風景を訪ねてみませんか。
