  1. It seems to me that the animatronics of the past (Hall of Presidents excluded) are much more reliable. I think the issue with Expedition Everest is in the way they built around the Yeti. They would have to disassemble part of the ride to repair the Yeti properly. I don’t think they will attempt to repair it until the next refurbishment, if at all.

I have to say, never ridden the ride…but I’m not a fan of roller coasters. I love everything else in the parks, just not the roller coasters. I know, some of the other rides are similar to roller coasters, like Test Track, but not the same. My favorites are the simulator rides like Star Tours and Mission Space, lots of fun. Still have to try Flight of Passage, the lines are always long and FastPass+ used to go very quickly. I’m not paying extra to ride anything, so no Genie+ for that either.

Hoping that the new attractions are better designed than some of the recent ones that have cut corners. That Guardians of the Galaxy ride could have been amazing. They also could have made it differently, as in not a coaster. I know a lot of people are looking for thrills, nothing wrong with that, but I also want to be able to fully enjoy the ride experience. Maelstrom was a perfect example of this (Frozen Ever After to a lesser extent), thrills and an easy to follow story in one ride. Having the slower part allowed the rider to appreciate the back story. Even Test Track is like that, slower parts and thrills in one ride.

Would maybe be cool if the company listened to it’s guests from time to time, instead of presenting what they think we all want. Focus groups are good and all, but are not a true sampling of ideas.

  2. they should have closed everest in 2020 bf fixed it then smh.. that thing will never be fixed

  3. Funny how DI and castmembers have foresight and good ideas…heck a CM told me another had suggested dueling light cycles for Tron…um YES PLEASE!!!

  4. Nope on the Yeti. Really nice shirt, Tom. Thanks for the update, see you at the Unscrupulous 16th. 😄

  5. Universal has haunted horror nights where people dress up and jump out at you to scare you. Pay them to be the yeti

  6. The haunted mansion has things jump out at you. Does it need to be this massive complex thing? Replace it with something simple and effective. You go by it fast anyway.

  7. If the money was there, they could remove the old yeti completely and build a new one that would work in the same place. $$

  8. Put a spotlight on the Yeri! I never see it as the strob light is too fast and dim to see the Yeti, if it is even there.

  9. New rumor: They're going to replace the Yeti with Bruno. A giant Bruno reaching out towards you!

  10. Congratulations to WDW News Tonight 250th Episode. That is something to celebrate for all of us. My favorite of all time in Disneyland since I was little is the Tiki Room. My older brothers teased me with the totem poles moving all over. Yea, I love my brothers too.

  11. I think the yeti is terrifying just the way it is. I think they bit off more than they could chew safely 😂 No it won’t be fixed imho.

  12. Honestly think Disney imagineers need to work on some projects and only talk to the marketing team about it when it’s nearly complete. Seems that half the issue is the people in marketing.

  13. after Walt left, disney has been a collection of idiots and that tradition continues today. they cannot even do a good job with ride photos.
