Osaka Castle is a Japanese castle in Chūō-ku, Osaka, Japan.

Wouldn’t a park, flourishing with cherry blossoms in October be amazing?

Heck ya, it would be!

But, this was filmed back in the Spring on my first day in Japan.
I was a little early to check into my hotel, so I did a quick search for the best local places to see some and I headed to Osaka Castle.
I missed the best viewing time by a few days, but was still impressed by the flowers I saw.

The castle tower is surrounded by impressive stone walls and moats (half of them no longer with water).

I really enjoyed walking through Nishinomaru Garden, with it’s 600 cherry trees. Honestly I think that, and the walk up to the castle was the best part of the experience. They’ve turned the inside into a museum. It was still really interesting to see the artifacts on display, but kind of busy, and I wasn’t allowed to film. Shhhhhh.
