Meanwhile Russian state TV is calling for preemptive nuclear strikes against western nations while their armies continue to fall into a worse state. Ukrainian forces were also seen using the AMX-10 for the first time on the frontlines today during an advance.

Does anyone know the actual number of Americans over in Ukraine fighting? I know there are whole units of Americans and other countries like The UK and Ireland. Feels so weird seeing American troops fighting in Ukraine even though The USA is not involved in the war, at least not in "Offical Capacity" with boots on the ground. Which country has the most soldiers fighting in Ukraine as part of the foreign legion?
How bad is the water crisis in Ukraine after the Russians blew up the big Dam? I imagine it was a lot of flooding but it shouldn't effect people being able to get water from their sinks and wells though right?

it may not be thermobaric explosion. That plume may be result from high water vapor content in air. slight pressure wave can trigger condensation in such case. The video looks like that is very probable reason.

As the American werewolf in Britain I can tell you that stonehenge isn't about its size rather its about its age, uniqueness of lintel stones on top and the size of those lintels. If you want to work out how pyramids and S American structures with stones weighing tons brought from 100's of miles away, stonehenge is a good starting point. Clue hydrolics and displacement. Being English and of a certain age, back when I was very young, I visited Stonehenge and was able to walk between the stones. Went with my daughter a few years ago and realised that they weren't as big as I remembered! The visitor centre wasn't bad, and a thunderstorm and then a rainbow over the stones while we were walking past them was spectacular.
Have some friends from Oz visiting with their children this summer. Doing a drive-by on the A303 (before they put that road in a tunnel) before going to Silbury Hill and Avebury as that seems the most cost effective way of seeing them, and some really ancient history too.

Russians used word "Clap" describing explosions which sounds like a word for cotton in Russian so Ukrainians started to use that, I think in Ukrainian, which is different word than Russian and Russians couldn't get what Ukrainians are talking about.

The Russian propaganda guy had a huge hissy fit. Do the Russians realize that their vaunted air defence systems do not work? They cannot protect Moscow. Where the most important Russians live. Except for the rats that fled the sinking nation.

The tank production line looks fake. The equipment and building are pathetic.
There are some excellent videos of the Abrams production lines. Including the rebuild factory where the completely strip the tanks down and replace most of the equipment. US production includes advanced computerised tooling and testing. And may use 3D printing.
The Russians are still not using camo nets effectively. Such as with trenches and bunkers. Camo nets could help protect soldiers from drone attacks. Cheap netting could save thousands of lives.
The Generals make much better targets than starved conscripts.
John Snow became one of the most important figures in modern medicine. His work saved hundreds of millions of lives and greatly changed the way we live today. And the event was the beginning of modern epidemiology. Snow had to damage the pump because the council in London would not shut the pump down. Before this event it was commonly thought that many diseases spread through bad smells. London built a huge sewerage system to remove the bad smells of sewerage. That system still works today. With modern additions.
The amphibious AFVs do not seem to be in much use in this war. Some of the Russian-built vehicles have light weight rear doors made of a magnesium alloy which also contains fuel. No smoking near these vehicles.
I have not seen the Ukrainians working very closely with infantry. I have seen tanks and infantry
The big bang was a suicide tank filled with various explosives. May be a cheap tank built in the 1950s T-55 tank.
The steel-reinforced heavy concrete of buildings in Stalingrad provided very good defensive positions. German bombers could not crush them.
Heavy losses are to be expected. This will not be easy. Russian artillery needs to be destroyed. At least Ukrainian families are informed about wounds and deaths. Russians do not seem to care about dead soldiers. And with their incompetence, they likely lose track of many losses. Long-term support is vital. Aid now is better.
Russians seem to fail to understand that Moscow has no effective protection against nuclear weapons. And the rest of Russia has less. They can not even stop small drones hitting Moscow in broad daylight. Their own missiles seem to not be very effective against Western air defence SAM missile systems. And if they destroy reactors in Ukraine they will collect much of the fallout. And the reactor is in a part of Ukraine they claim as their own.
Russia does not keep track of people they have already killed. So they make multiple claims.
