Today I am going to share Hakone day trip from Toko travel & photography vlog. This is part of my Japan travel & photography vlog series.

To begin your journey, board the romance car train from Shinjuku station, Tokyo to Hakone-Yumoto Station, enjoying the scenic ride through verdant valleys and picturesque countryside.

Exploring the region, a visit to Owakudani is a must. This volcanic valley captivates visitors with its bubbling hot springs, sulfurous fumes, and captivating views. Take a thrilling ride on the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car that ascends through the scenic mountains, granting panoramic vistas of the valley and its active volcanic features. At the summit, you can savor the region’s renowned black eggs, boiled in the naturally hot water of Owakudani and said to prolong one’s life by seven years.

Continuing your Hakone adventure, a serene cruise ride on Lake Ashinoko awaits. The tranquil waters are surrounded by lush greenery and offer a reflective mirror to the picturesque surroundings. Admire the traditional red Torii gate that emerges from the lake, adding a touch of serenity and spirituality to the scene. Disembarking at Moto-Hakone, where you can explore charming shops, cafes, and the Hakone Shrine, an ancient Shinto sanctuary that exudes a sense of tranquility.
