We are continuing down south through the Black Forest region of Germany! What would you do if you visited this area? If you liked this video, you may enjoy: Heidelberg Germany Vlog (https://youtu.be/2Cm1wK3TMIQ ) or First Food Back in Germany! (https://youtu.be/iSZVSb03fTM )
19:17 That could be translated to "baker at the creek". It's probably just a family name though.
Weiter, weiter, immer weiter…
From north to south Germany has so much natural beauty to offer. Whether mountains, waterfalls, streams, lakes etc. Phil looked really funny with his Black Forest hood.😅
Schwarzwalder schinken!!
Freiburg ist ech toll
He tried to get out of that climb. She was having non of it. Got more. Let's go. Edited to say black forest ham is huge in USA. It's great. I hate ham but I'll eat that
Phil actually has a point with the Lord of the Rings. It is essentially a German story only the Schwarzwald is Mirkwood where Legolas is from, the Erzgebirge is where the dwarves are from, the Elbe region is where the elves are from and Rohan is Lower Saxony. The One Ring is a real object and currently on display in the Halle Museum für Forces chic the (the have a YouTube channel).
For those interested, the hotel in min. 16:00 is called Gasthof zu alten Brücke, in Schiltach.
And can only recommend it! I hope you had a wonderful stay there!
Is Deanna Vietnamese? i think she hinted to something..i was thinking native american Indian..
looks like Iberico cured Ham.
Love the scenery, and the food looks good to. You should have gotten the stuffed animal.
Macht mal bitte einen Tour durch FKK Strand in Ostsee😊😊😊
It's butter cream not whipped cream!
Oh, ich denke die Wohnung war 90er Stil
Wait, I think I saw a Bigfoot out in the wilderness. Be careful guys! Take care and have fun!!!!
I bought the little donkey at the Mummelsee Shop 😊 we went there last year in September (I am German but living in Australia)
I’m enjoying your videos. I spent a couple months in Baden-Baden last year and coincidently found the town Freudenstadt which I found very special. If you make it back to the area, you might want to check out the mountain town of Forbach also.
Big bad Baden-Baden. The lives you live. Let`s gooo, "The Incoming Sauerkraut" Phil höhöhö. I love this. Wow.
You all didn't make it to the ruins at the top of the falls. You could have a had a great Johannesbeeren Sorbet. Also the Red Wine (Rot Wein) in the region is fantastic. The Spätburgunder in the area rivals the dry wines across the border!
The reason why there are hardly any half-timbered houses to be seen in Freudenstadt is due to the last days of the Second World War. On April 16, 1945, the town was unexpectedly attacked by the French 1st Army under General de Lattre, with about 95% of the town center destroyed mainly by a 16-hour artillery bombardment. Since the main water line already had been destroyed by U.S. air strikes and the fire trucks by artillery, fires were able to spread almost unhindered. 1400 families were left homeless. During the invasion of the French troops, there were countless rapes of hundreds of German women by Moroccan units over three days.
I like your choice of music. ❤
The woman's face in the rocks is more to the right than where you circled. It is side view. A long down sloping nose
Just to clarify things….black Forrest ham in Canada is crap! Just over smoked ham
Can I fit this in my mouth? Hell yeah! Swallow it!
😂😂😂😂😂
Wait. You hiked up the Allerheiligen Waterfalls, mentioned how much you would like a snack right now and then TURNED AROUND without visiting the old monastery just a few 100m ahead? You could have had your cake right there. Also, there is a path a little up the hill running parallel to the waterfalls back to the parking lots, offering some very nice views from above.
Flammkuchen usually are raw onions, bacon and a cream of sour cream.
Whaaaaaat??? No stop in Freiburg, Titisee, Schluchsee 🙁
I grew up here in Bad urach bij the black Forrest its beautiful and i miss it
I find you are stuck up with the old school problem
Of course, in Germany, cake is not considered a dessert and not had after a meal, but is a "meal" of its own in the afternoon. Just as you said: Kaffee und Kuchen. So, of course, one should really sit down for it – best in an old-style café – and have a cup of coffee with it, rather than eating it as a take-away item. This is not very German at all. But probably you did not find a quiet place to film at a sit-down café? Once back in Düsseldorf, you should certainly visit Konditorei Heinemann in the Kö Center for some traditional coffee and cake.
I think the furniture in the bedroom of the rented apartment was more '90s than '70s style. But, yes, very typical of privately owned guest apartments.
Den Flammkuchen muss man bei der Gästatte Filou in Cochem an der Mosel probieren
German Black Forest Ham is VERY different from "black forest ham" in america. It's more like a prociutto or something like that. It has its own unique flavor and is amazing. Unlike american black forest ham, lol
My dad was USAF and we were assigned to Grafenwoehr in Bavaria during the early 80s. I went everywhere from the Obersalzburg to Bremen/Hamburg the Rhein and the Black Forest. For me Bavaria remains quintessential Germany, but the Black Forest was amazing.
