🇧🇷 SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – Welcome to the beginning of my 3 MONTH trip travelling Brazil and day one in the insanely diverse São Paulo! This is the first video of (probably) over 30, starting off in the megacity of São Paulo (in the state of the same name). I’m a British/Polish guy who first visited São Paulo in 2009 and has been documenting life as a full-time traveller since 2016 – what are my impressions second time around?
If you’ve seen my previous videos, you’ll know this isn’t any old travel channel or Brazil vlog where we pretend to be surprised or only talk about positives to pander to locals for views. We look at reality! Plus, insane Brazilian food (comida brasileira such as the famous Mortadella Sandwich at the Municipal Market, Coxinha, Pasteis, Brigadeiros and more), history, architecture and REAL-LIFE issues affecting us all (sometimes difficult to discuss!).
In this video we take a general walk around and explore this insane Brazilian Megacity and explore central areas such as Centro, Liberdade and Avenida Paulista which all have to be on your itinerary for your Brazil trip. In future videos (as you can see in the intro), there are many more awesome videos to come including Interlagos and the history of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, and a trip to a favela!
If you’re looking for activities or things to do as well as information regarding Brasil, stay tuned! Is Brazil safe? Is Brazil dangerous? What is life like as a Digital Nomad in Brazil?

Amazing, David. Simply amazing video. I think you portrayed the soul of SP perfectly. The little details, the significant beauty, the little imperfections of a metropolis. Right in my top tier of your videos. And I can’t wait for the next video. Senna forever!
Currently I do not recommend anyone to visit the center of SP, especially tourists. It is largely abandoned by the government. The rest of the city is OK for a stroll.
I am receiving an education! Thanks for these videos David! Keep them coming, I love your work. I watch on my TV not my comp. So I don't usually comment on YouTube – Moving forward I will do my best to give you your well deserved shout outs in this format. Take good care of your self 🙂
I'm new follower and this is another great video David!! If you were going to retire in South America, which one would you choose? Thanks!!
I think your videos are just getting better and better. From the editing, to the structure and the information you give! Well done on a well made and very informative video. Your personality ensures it's never boring to watch , but I always learn loads of stuff. My 2 year old was particularly impressed with the huge ice cream cone outside the mcds… He wasn't that arsed about the art museum 😂. Can't wait to see the next vid! Thanks for being the eyes for all of us! 🇧🇷
The downtown area of São Paulo is so run down. I felt like simple middle class neighborhoods in the city are way safer and cleaner. There are tons of rich areas in the city, which makes me wonder why they won't fix the downtown. I absolutely loved the city and will go back!!
The filming was awesome but the message behind what you said was everything 👍
✌️
09:32 => An old nickname of São Paulo is "A Terra da Garoa", wich is "The Land of Drizzle".
Hahaha! Welcome.
A BIG mistake… visit São Paulo. It is a waste of time ! Even Brazilians don't watch this vlogs in SP.
Eu morro de rir quando mostram Copacabana como bela praia do Brasil, prova que os turistas não sabem nada sobre o país.
Just showing old parts of the city? Why? Not amazed at all…
The Britons always showing the trash of Brazil. That's the way they are…. What can we do? How about to show the miseries of Britain? How about this side of Brazil? Actually the real Brazil that you people refuse to see for obvious reasons. And let make this very clear. These people started arriving in this land since the times of the discovery, around the XVI century, they were not immigrantes, they were colonisers, before you people jump to wrong conclusions. Now to the reality. Enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK7Q-DEAqNo
Finally starting to catch up on your new video adventures! Good to see you on your element and great inside about a country in my list of travel places!✌
Look at Los Angeles in the US…far more worse with tent cities
Just discovered your channel – love it , I go to Brazil 3 times a year and you have really nailed it.Looking forward to more Brazil videos
Sao paulo or México city?
o nome dessa Avenida e Paulista , e não Av Palestina
French bread is Portuguese roll we called it French for the bling

I loved this video!!!!
ESTE SANDUICHE É UM ROUBO ! SE VOCE FOR NO SUPERMERCADO COM O VALOR DESTES SANDUICHE DA PRA COMPRAR 10 PÃES ,MORTADELA QUEIJO.
THIS SANDWICH IS A STEAL! IF YOU GO TO THE SUPERMARKET WITH THE VALUE OF THESE SANDUICHES, YOU CAN BUY 10 BREADS, MORTADELA CHEESE.
Being a local, I can tell you that the historical center is an area where even the most seasoned of paulistanos will be very alert when visiting lol. Glad to see that you got to know some of the more welcoming neighbourhoods afterwards, they're often ignored due to not being as famous for tourists.
I really enjoyed this video! Sao Paulo seems like a really vibrant and interesting city but I have to be honest, it does seem a bit too crazy and sketchy at times from my perspective. But one thing that always really strikes me about Brazil is just how diverse it is. In this video, you see just about every type of person you could imagine it seems.
Great Video! Really cool to see you were in Brazil this year (2022), we were also in Brazil for a little more than 2 months! We spent a few days in Florianópolis – SC, then we got back to São Paulo, where Lia's family lives. We visited the old downtown of São Paulo, skipping Sé Cathedral since we visited it in 2017 with São Paulo Free walking tour. São Paulo old downtown is amazing, we don't get tired to visit the amazing hidden areas. This year we visited the amazing Safe Lock Bar. Incredible! 😍🙏🏻 And you are absolutely right, the cool part of São Paulo is the diversity, the culture, the history lost in the mansions of Av. Paulista, unfortunately, is not preserved by Governments, among the millionaire buildings, in a city that needs more love for its people, but that despite not being totally safe, still brings people always ready to help with a smile on their face! 🥰
I’m finally catching up with the Brasil videos 🇧🇷 🥳🤣
