The management of NAIA is appointed by the President regardless of their experience and qualifications to manage an airport. As a result, NAIA continues to bring bad reputation to the country as the worst airport in the world several times year after year. NAIA has brought enough embarrassment to the Philippines with an assortment of ugly incidents and experiences from bullet-planting to stealing by airport staff and bribery by immigration officials.
