Before RVing, being a dad meant protecting and providing for the family. RVing has changed how I (Nathan) view my relationship with my kids. After all, the family that camps together, stays together!

The only thing I would say is always wear the proper footwear on a hike, sandals are ok on flat surfaces but not on a hike safe travels.
Dude! You should just hit your toes with a hammer, they would look better than that! 😉 The Grand Canyon hike must have been ROUGH!
You really should have those toes looked at.
Praying for Lindsay and her family. You have a special bond with your children.
Don’t feel bad about your toes! My kids tell me that mine looks like a velociraptor’ s feet 🦶 🦖 😅
Love this! Great video.
Best video of your channel so far! Lots of good laughs! Thank you, we all needed that!
We have changed a ton since moving into an RV and traveling with our kids. We have conquered fears, we have learned how to parent differently, we have learned how to love each other differently and I have seen my husband flourish as a Dad since going full-time. We love following you and Nathan's journey and showing us that this lifestyle is something people can do.
Well the only good snakes are dead snakes 🐍 😊
You guys are are ONE when you're all together.❤ Prayers to you all. Take care of your toes Nathan. Happy Father's Day.
Have not read the book but love to hear Andy Stanley preach and his messages are so right on!
Brave to take a 9 year old and a 4 year old on a hike like that. Even worse, taking a wife who is doing a “cleanse?” Good grief Charlie Brown!! I’ve never dreamed of either. In fact I’ve never remembered my dreams except for one in my whole life! The kids did great. Prayers for Lindsey and her family. I wish I could agree with your theory about camping. Unfortunately that only works if the other party is even remotely interested and cooperates with the plan. Some folks absolutely refuse to join in and take a chance on the experience. When that happens you just have to throw in the towel and sell the RV. I’m trying to get up the nerve to sell mine. Getting rid of it means throwing away what I hoped would be such a great togetherness experience. In 46 years of marriage there wasn’t much of that. Happy Fathers Day Nathan. And to all the dads out there who are trying. As long as you are still in the game you’ll do ok!
From everything that you and Marissa have shared with us on the Vlog, these many years, you are an incredible father, and incredible husband, and a great person. Thank you for sharing all the wisdom that you do with all of us.
19:02 When you shared how amazing your husband is as a dad, I got teary-eyed. It is great to hear. It moved me to tears because I believe I would be an amazing dad, too, but I don't know if I'll ever get the opportunity to be one. :'(
You're a trooper Marissa! You are so right that one of the biggest benefits of that type of lifestyle is getting over your fears.
Loved the video and the message! I was a very young father who found himself a very young single father by the age of 20. Along with the help from my amazing parents and sister, I successfully raised 4 kids well into adulthood. Along the way, I found an amazing woman who I am proud to call my wife and we've added two additional kids to this mix. Yesterday (Father's day), we ALL went to the Zoo along with SO's, kids/grandkids, and other family members. This week, we are all headed to our 10th Annual Family Camping event which is in the Badlands of SD this year. I made many mistakes along the way and have have some regrets, but my kids seem to still want to be around me and we have some wonderful experiences as a family. I believe they understand that I've always tried to do my best – whether they agreed with it or not. Being a dad is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am always trying to do better and make my kids proud. Hats off to everyone out there that have been dad or a father figure in someone's life – even if you were also the mother.
Happy Fathers Day Nathan!!
You are doing everything right! Your kids are incredible. They will be friends for life and always revere and cherish you two❤❤❤❤
I internet started buffering right as you panned to you big toe 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Loved this vlog and totally agree with you on the importance of building a strong relationship with your kids. That’s something I didn’t have growing up with my mom, but did have somewhat with my dad…just didn’t get to see or spend time with him much. You both are good parents, and it shows in your kids and how they interact with you, each other, others, and the world around them. JJ totally loves you more than the pine cones 😂 – he just may not be able to always express it as much yet…especially when engaged in the moment of being immersed in such a beautiful place with all sorts of cool nature things such as pinecones all around him. Keep doing the spontaneous, challenging things…it’s creating so much life experiences and memories, and teaching them more than they would ever learn in a classroom. 😊. Will be praying for Lindsey and her family.
It also looks like where we live here in north central Arkansas
I agree. I’m petrified of snakes. Don’t even like to touch pictures of them. But the reward for overcoming your fears… ❤️ And my other thing is wind. Tornadoes. Lightening doesn’t bother me, but I hate wind. I’m proud of you! You are an inspiration.
You’re alone on the lightning thing!!
So there's snakes and you're hiking in shorts and sandals? Also looking at man toes are 🤮
Beautiful family, amazing outlook and healthy goals! Be blessed.
Oh, Marissa you are not alone in your fear of snakes and nightmares about them, they terrify me! I still go hiking and camping though. My parents always knew growing up when I found a snake because I'd scream so you'd think someone was trying to kill me. (I'm still like that) I am very nervous traveling or moving south because of them and extremely weary when traveling to other states with more dangerous snakes. I just pray and pray we don't encounter them. It's great the kids love doing the outdoors things with you guys. I love it when my boy requests to go camping for his birthday! All the best to you!
