PLEASE READ THIS FOR FAQ’s:

This is a tour of my host family/homestay house in Tsuyama, Okayama Japan. 😀 My host family was very nice! I’m so glad I could stay there for as long as I did (about 6 days), but I wish I could have stayed longer.

FAQ:

Q: What organization did I home stay through?
A: Santa Fe Sister Cities. Please note: THIS IS NOT A STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM. (your city may also have a Sister Cities program, you can look into it to see if they have information on trips as well.)

Q: Did you go to school while you were there?
A: I visited schools, but because it was not an academic trip, I did not study there. I did not go through a study abroad program, it was a high school trip that was made possible by the Sister Cities program.

Q: Why didn’t you stay for more than 6 days?
A: I only home stayed for a part of my trip. Due to the fact that this is a high school trip that wanted to include more parts of Japan than just our sister city, we went to many other places including Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, and Tottori, making the trip longer than 6 days but the home stay at our sister city only 6 days. Please watch my other videos for more information ^^

Q: Why don’t you smile?
A: This has been asked over 10 times now, so I will attempt to explain XD. Had no idea that my expression would be so notable to you guys. Like I said previously, I only stayed at their house for a short time, and so I didn’t really get use to them. Staying at another person’s house makes me nervous, I often walk on eggshells when I don’t need to due to past experiences. It is also partially due to my personality, and I have social anxiety, so getting use to people is hard. Along with this, I often forget to smile in pictures. Thanks for the concern, but I am fine, or at least working through it lol.
