When I look at the statistics for my videos, the ones that are most viewed are those where I walk around Hat Yai. This is the kind of content that people seem to want. I’ve done this several times and have covered several of the best-known areas. This video is a walking tour of the three main arteries that go through central Hat Yai – Niphat Uthit Roads 1, 2 and 3.
I normally aim to make videos that are 10-15 minutes in length, but because these are long roads this video is much longer than the ones I usually make.

There is quite a few Wooden Houses/buildings to the South West of the train station, the look well preserved!
Haha, Mandarin View (facepalm)
Thanks for the update 👍
Hi Phil , From past experience 20 yrs ago when I first came to visit Hatyai a friend told me there were 4 main streets in shiort Street one –Street four and its easy access within walking distance and talking about commercial sex district away from town along Thung Sao Channiveit area where all the karoake shops girls are available for booking popular among Malaysian and Singaporean tourists that was before the Covid 19 not sure about the current status likewise the Orange building former Mandarin hotel name change to Oriental View hotel ❤sex leisure mostly for local residents another place for a short time is along the ❤ New Market Soi area Anyway I really enjoy the down memory lane Hatyai walkabout Thank You 😄😄😄
hi Phil, I watch every single one of your productions, you happen to be a very good source of information, also you tell people information better than anybody I know, while I am writing this you have just walked past my old friend's shop, she's still going, got through covid so I expect she will still be around when I next visit, I hope to touch bases with you also
always good to meet up with people, at least good people, I do hope your well and also your family, bet your kids are growing up fast, take care Phil regards john
This was very enjoyable.. great work chief 👍 I did pretty much this same walk my 2nd or 3rd time to Hat Yai.. couldn't do it on my very 1st visit in Nov 2010 cos a lot of water got in the way 😒 I remember it well.. stayed at the Asian Hotel and Hat Yai became Waterworld.
The now torn down Cathay Guesthouse used to be my go-to place to catch a van back to Penang, so it has some nostalgia for me. Even stayed there once.. and to be fair I really can't complain cos of how low the price was, but it was just a bit too drabby and run-down for me to repeat 😅
I enjoy yr videos & commentary on history, language & the like.. so it's unfortunate those aren't getting as good a response.. but hey, different strokes for different folks 😂
Hi always enjoy watching your video introducing hatyai I wish one day can go visit this wonderful place ,appreciate your effort thank you
If want to booking a girl go to janivette road. There more choice and the girls are younger than in kim yong.
any more tour agency open where you can change money or book a room?
Hi, Phil. Another magnificent video. I remember those streets well. I learnt very quickly that they’re one way but it took an incredibly silly decision on my behalf to take a right hand turn on a motorbike one day only to have a wall of cars coming straight at me. Lesson learnt and I never did it again. Probably would’ve been horrendous if I was driving a car. Anyway, I really admire your ability to pack so much information in your videos yet be so concise. You’re definitely a wealth of knowledge. I’ve been in Thailand on and off for the past 23 years (especially love Hat Yai) and I’ve gone through an array of mindsets only to find myself purely a family man now. It’s great to see that they’ve cleaned up the sex trade in Hat Yai. It was a little dodgy back in the day because it really was openly on display in certain areas. I saw in one of your past videos that Pink Lady is now a hotel only. I remember all of the other places so it’s good to know that it’s not on display and more family oriented. A better image for tourism surely. Again, thanks for a great video. You do a magnificent job. Cheers, Shaun
Hi Phil, very informative video. Can make a video about local transport B10 fare "Song Teow" colored truck that go around Hatyai (BigC/Lotus/CentralFestival). I will take this cheap transport sometime when I vist Hatyai. Good to let u viewer know this information. Never seen YouTuber do this type video before….
