The world heritage listed Albula Railway. With it’s 55 bridges and 39 tunnels, it is one of the most spectacular narrow gauge railways in the world. The centerpiece is the 5866m long Albula tunnel, which at 1820m above sea level, is the second highest alpine tunnel in Switzerland.

    wieder mal eine wunderschöne Fahrt, vielen Dank!!! Es fällt immer wieder auf, an wievielen Stellen im Netz gebaut wird, um den Bahnverkehr sicherzustellen und zu verbessern (neue Doppelspurabschnitte, Tunnelrenovierung, Bahnhofsumbauten usw.), die RhB ist da wirklich vorn dabei 🙂

    If I was the driver, I wouldn't allow any car pass me by😁Yea. But why do I always think of racing whenever trains meet cars in parallel? But I think it is normal as we see several movie scenes that when a red light stopes cars, two drivers in parallel get into racing mode. So I think it is normal 😁

    Wonderful! I’ve ridden this route myself, and I stopped in Filisur to hike to a view of the Landwasser viadukt. My own photo of it is one of my screen saver pictures now. I then hiked down from trackside to the stream bed and took photos of the viadukt looking up from the water. I’ll never forget that trip and I’m in ecstasy now seeing it again in this marvelous video!

    Der Zug fährt erst in 5 Minuten weiter. In der Zwischenzeit kaufe ich mir schnell a Brotzeit in der Bahnhofsbäckerei. ———————— (8 Minuten später) ————————- Entschuldigung daß jetzt 3 Minuten länger gedauert hat als geplant. Ich hab an der Theke anstehen müssen, denn vor mir stand eine Frau, die nicht wusste was sie wollte, ob sie nun eine Leberkaassemmel mit einem Leberkäse auf der Semmel haben will, oder den Leberkäse unter der Semmel haben will. Nach einiger Debatte hatte sie sich dann doch für eine Tafel Schokolade entschlossen, bis es ihr dann einfiel, daß sie ihr Geld zu Hause vergessen hatte.
