A walkthrough of the Kairi Suite, the top category room with 120m² of indoor space. For one year, beginning with our stay (from June 16, 2023 to June 14, 2024), this suite is called “Kateigaho Suite” (家庭画報スイート) – it’s a room design collaboration between the property and Kateigaho (家庭画報), a renowned publication that focuses on high-end and traditional Japanese culture, fashion, travel, design, architecture, etc.
Iki Retreat Kairi Murakami is a luxury hot springs ryokan located on Iki Island, which is in the Japan Sea that can be reached by Ferry from Fukuoka’s Hakata Port or Karatsu Port, or by air from Fukuoka and Nagasaki Airport. It has a long history of trade with mainland Asia (especially Korea and China), has incredible seafood and beef and numerous historical sites, including one of the most historic ruins from Japan’s Yayoi Period (弥生時代), which ran from about 300 B.C. to 250 A.D.
