This was my 5th time visiting Da Nang this Century. Was last here in 2018 and 2019, although that was because I was on my way to Hoi An. It was only on my last visit that I thought Da Nang was a better option to live than Hoi An, having got fed up with it’s plasticity. Da Nang offers a city AND a beach. Yay! That’s my kind of city. So I was heading across the bridge to stay beachside for the first time.
I’ve visited Nha Trang once before in 2004. It was already a Russian occupation back then, but has recently developed into a popular destination for international tourists due to its popular beaches and scuba diving and has attracted large numbers of backpackers, as well as more affluent travelers on the south-east Asia circuit; it is already very popular with Vietnamese tourists, with Nha Trang Bay chosen by Travel + Leisure in two succeeding years as one of 29 most beautiful bays in the world.
I was interested in comparing the two beaches/promenades at Nha Trang and Da Nang, especially as both are beach cities which are my ideal places to live.
Nha Trang measures 12.87 square kilometer and according to the 2019 census had a population of 422,601, growing at a rate of 2% per year. In 1950, the population of Nha Trang was 33,924.
Da Nang is the fifth-most populated city in Vietnam, with an area of 1,255.53 km2 (484.76 sq mi) and a population of 1,064,100 according to the latest update in 2017.

Congratulations on 6k
Your filipine videos goes a lot better than the videos from Vietnam, ivè observed..
👍👍🍻🍻
Whats with all the commercials over 20 minutes for a 30 minute vlog
Nice video, thank you. The place so far looks a bit low key perhaps ? Hopefully you will find some locations that might be more “enthusiastic” where chaps of a certain age and motivation can recapture there long lost youth ?
…. Excellent video again Philip… You truly are one of the best… Glad you're back in the Philippines…. Based on a lot of your music choices , my guess is that you are a Pink Floyd fan…
Amazed to see this country after this devastating war till the 70's which I demonstrated against at that time. Have you ever been to Angeles in the Philippines, which still has this retreat vibe for American soldiers in that era?
Get yourself a moped, make a cruise which will get your hair accustomed to blow backwards.
Philippines beaches r the best beetle man
The flag marks the undertow
A friend once said ,, Perfect future for older man is Filipina wife BUT living in Vietnam ,,, hard to argue against that
That boardwalk at Na Trang was really nice. The people are smart to exercise and the women age well. If you don't use it, you lose it!
>beach
>youth
>mask
I will never not laugh at NPC’s. 😂
Beaches have strong undercurrents at various points which pull swimmers out to see. The lifeguards know how to recognise the safe areas which can change daily. They are there there for safety, not because they are forcing communist restraints on swimmers.😊
Any thoughts of the dating differences between the Philippines and Vietnam? Specifically the age gap. I am 42 and hoping to date someone 22-30. I recently was offered a job in Vietnam but The Philippines is my first choice but jo real job prospects
I prefer Nha Trang over Danang
Ting tong or Ting tang….lol 😂
Na Trang is pronounced Na Chang…..Tr is Ch
In Australia you should swim between the flags on a patrolled beach, this is the safest area to swim, no Rips or trenches etc. So many foreigners drown at the beaches either because they can't swim or decide to swim outside of the patrolled areas. Bit like wearing a seat belt in a car.
