Welcome to the first episode of Unseen by Tourists. For the next few videos we’ll be looking at Singapore Unseen and today, Punggol Waterway Park. In the next six months, we’ll be exploring the unseen parts of Singapore, Taipei, Seoul, Busan, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Osaka and Tokyo. Places where tourists do not frequent but are amazing parts of the city.
Punggol Waterway Park is a popular outdoor area in Northeast Singapore.
It’s split into four parts: the Nature Cove, Recreation Zone, Heritage Zone, and Green Gallery.
The Nature Cove is a peaceful area where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery. The Recreation Zone has open spaces for exercise and a water playground for kids. The Heritage Zone is where visitors can learn about the history of Punggol and take a walk down the old Punggol Road.
The Green Gallery is a beautiful stretch of greenery and wetland plants, which attracts nature enthusiasts and bird watchers.
The park also has the Jewel Bridge, a great spot for photography with impressive views of the sunrise and sunset. The waterway, Singapore’s longest man-made one, is also a highlight of the park. Overall, Punggol Waterway Park offers a nice break from the busy city life.

A new series! Unseen by tourists. First few episodes will be in Singapore, but expect videos from cities in Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. Let me know what you think of this idea and the walk and talk style videos.
That might be the worst pronounciation of Fukuoka in history.
hi dazza i,ll be in Taiwan fron the 11th july ,, will you be still there, ?
Nice to see another side og Singapore, Not just the tourist area of Marina bay hehe. Freedom to do what you want. Exciting travel plans coming up 🙂 Btw it's pronounced something like this:
foo
koo
ow
kuh
" FUKUOKA" 🙂
See you in Osaka
Few clicks away from Punggol, there are two airports nearby. Passenger terminal, Seletar Airport and the Air Force base at Paya Lebar, hence the noisy jet fighters flying overhead. Also Punggol is a new development, pop up only 20 odd years ago, unlike its neighbours like Hougang or Ang Mo Kio
Thanks for the video Darren, sounds like exciting months coming up. Looking forward to seeing it.
I think what you said at the end is 100% true. I wish I had the guts to do it too..
Great video. Great to see u exploring our non touristy residential parks. Sg had great no touristy outdoor nature to offer. Enjoy. By the way, Punggol waterway park and many other water wetland parks are a joint effort by National Park Board & Public Utilities Board ABC projects (Active Beautiful & Clean Water). They did & are doing great job.
U hear the jets because around this time there are rehearsals for our 9 Aug National Day.
Really like these chilled videos !
When are you coming to Malaysia again?
