For the first time in forever, The Disney Dining Plan is returning. Are you Excited?

Each week, we cover the top stories in Disney Parks news and discuss the topics that are top of mind for the Disney community.

Welcome to ParksCenter on WDWNT.TV! We’re back with more news and discussing the latest happenings in Disney and Universal Parks. Join us live at 9pm ET!

We’ll start with a discussion of the Disney Dining Plan. Starting January 9th, 2024, this option returns for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package. We’ve talked about the Dining Plan in the past, but with it starting up again, it’s a good chance to dive into its value and convenience of it. Our panel will discuss all the angles, and we want you to weigh in as well!

Then, it’s over to the latest Disney Parks news! We review some of the biggest topics of the week, like the closing of Splash Mountain after 40 years at Disneyland in Anaheim. The next day, Disney announced many new things coming for its replacement attraction – Toian’s Bayou Adventure! We’ll review them all.

Adventures by Disney announced a $114,995 Private Jet Vacation to Every Disney Theme Park in 2024. We’ll list some of the perks, even though none of us will expect to be on it. And Walt Disney World Annual Passholders are getting some great benefits in the month of June, and WDWNT has been in the parks sampling them.

There’s so much more, including updates to the nighttime shows at Disneyland, Oogie Boogie tickets have been announced, New foods, Photo Ops, and construction updates – we’ll talk about it all in 90 minutes!

  1. Dining plan: don’t really care. We are dinner people, we enjoy a nice dinner, but don’t really go for breakfast lunch or expensive snacks – we like to treat ourselves after a long day but. We are generally granola bar in the room for breakfast, home packed sandwich or basic counter service lunch, packed snacks, with one character dining and some table service dinners with a few lovely but overpriced cocktails people. Dining plan doesn’t make much sense for us but I am psyched it is back for the families it works for. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  2. Have you used the Disney Dining Plan in the past? Do you love it or do you skip it?

  3. It seems like disney takes something popular away only to bring it back in a lesser form only to silence the complaints.

  4. Tiana brother in law yes ens of me when tiana friend was dancing with end of moive and naven bro also in books stories not in moive as well as far splash changing to tiana not that sad about it not my favorite ride like great moive ride i be more sad if disney took down the twlight zone ride i still need go on little mermaid ride my last trip was in 06 my parents and i were planning on going in 2012 but then my dad got sick and pass away so still need see beauty and beast village at magic kingdom and go on ariel ride i love holloween never did disney parks for halloween but want to though one partys

  5. When i visit wdw ,im going solo…the dining plan is not needed in any capacity…i would prefer making rsvp for certain restaurants 180 days out.

  6. The dining plan is great but I hope people realize the tip is not included because so many
castmembers get slighted when people don't know that. Sadly one snack has been eliminated and the plan costs more which doesn't seem fair.

  7. If you’re not a big eater, the DDP is not for you. They print your remaining credits on the receipt so you can keep track. Think about the last time you went to WDW, if you didn’t eat enough for the DDP, it’s not for you.

  8. Hey Rob, and nice panel. 😁Went back to watch this, the first half hour I missed, "live." So, I missed out on the convo of dinning plan. Glad it's back. Tho, I don't think I'll would need it on my next trip, even if I COULD use it; next trip being next month. LOL!😁So enjoyed the show. Thx for all the info. Hope to see some of you next month for WDWNT 16th.

  9. As a vegetarian there is no way to get your monies worth on the meal plan. To break even you need to always order the most expensive with us always a meat dish. Bring back Tables in Wonerland!

  10. Everything will inevitably offend someone. The majority are not offended regardless of race so they shouldn’t have changed it because it was such a great ride. There is plenty of room for Tiana to get a ride without getting rid of Splash in WDW so they should have put it somewhere else. There is no chance Tiana is better than Splash in WDW but I think Disneylands Splash wasn’t nearly as good so I don’t mind that one changing.

  11. The free dining deal was only ever for rack rate rooms. It was always a better deal to use the room only discount offers and pay out of pocket.

  12. You can still buy the Mr. Toad popcorn bucket all over the place at WDW. It was even at Disney Springs last weekend. They need to calibrate their expectations on those things. Mr. Toad is no Figment.
