昭和3年（1928年）に 材木商の稲葉氏によって設立された 温泉宿東海館は、腕のいい棟梁たちによって 時代のニーズに合った 増改築を重ねていきました。その後 宿は 70年ほどの歴史に幕を閉じ 伊東市の観光施設と なっています。（東海館ガイドより）
