Happy anniversary! Question: Were you able to get to the bottom of all those ramen bowls? Is it rude to leave a lot uneaten? None seemed wonderful… but I would like to try Parmesan ramen because I always add Parm to my ramen at home! Love it.
Rament looks so good. Off topic, went to San Mateo (near SFO) to Noodles & Things. An Asian 'Fusion Restaurant where you pick your broth, type of noodles, and toping. I had the best ramen, Shiu Chow Soup Base with ramen noodles. If you ever get to San Mateo you have to try this place. There are many Asian restaurants in the area, including Takahashi Market which has different types of musubi – we had to try the loco moco musubi with gravy on the side.
Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary! What a great way to celebrate a great milestone. Sapporo looks much more lively than I would have guessed, it sounds like it closes down pretty early. Fun video.

You knew just where to go and what kind of ramen to have in Sapporo! In the days before YELP, the best way to choose where to eat at a place with many vendors like Ramen Yokochō is to look for the ones with the longest lines. Then you have decide if you think the food is worth the wait. Definitely donʻt try the ones that have only a few or no customers because thatʻs a visual rating right there. Looks like you tried all the must-haves, but I pass on Felixʻs trendy parmesan ramen. I liked the standard miso ramen or miso butter ramen at popular places because you'll probably never taste miso ramen that good anywhere outside of Sapporo. I also forgot to mention in the list of foods Hokkaidō is famous for — grilled & buttered corn on the cob (yaki tōmorokoshi). As you noticed in your ramen and soft cream, the corn in Hokkaido is very sweet, and the butter and milk products are much richer and creamier than what you find in other parts of Japan. Waiting for you to try some potatoes (with milk and butter?), too. And maybe white chocolate. Wondering whatʻs up on your next adventure in that busy outdoor site.

Happy 10 year anniversary! I’ve heard that they have a ton of ramen places in Sapporo but their charsiu isn’t very good! I guess you feel that way too except for that one place! Love watching all the places you two visit!

Wonderful video of Hokkaido ramen. I’ve been to Hokkaido but the tour group never took us there. Things you missed back home in Hawaii. The volcano erupted again at Halemaumau. Trump was indicted. Tuesday he goes in to see the judge. The ramen looks so ono. It’s sad that the Ultimate Japan ramen shop in Kapahulu is closed now. Oh the Hokkaido soft cream ice cream is so creamy and ono.
I was going to say go get ice cream, pretty famous in Hokkaido, you find vendors everywhere. I wish I got the chocolate sundae, looks so good. You guys ate so much ramen, you are going to wake up tomorrow with Ramen heads. 🤪
For what am able to discern, looks like Sun Noodle/wheat noodle could stand-in for Sapporo wheat noodles…T/F?
