Our flights to Okinawa were cancelled due to the typhoon, which left us with some rainy days in Tokyo. Luckily it’s firefly season and the rain stopped just long enough for us to get out and see them a few times.
As the Typhoon passed we managed to quickly get new flights to okinawa, and rebook all our hotels and cars which was super stressful, but way better than staying indoors in Tokyo all week.
So we only got a 4 day trip around Okinawa instead of a 7 day one which was hectic, fun and suprisingly cheap, most all hotels were about £30 a night.
