The Shimanami Kaido Cycle Route links the main islands of Honshu and Shikoku in Japan through a series of bridges and islands in the Seto Inland Sea.

The 70km cycle trail takes you between islands across a series of impressive bridges with special cycle lanes and for added fun there’s a network of ferries to help you get back. We rented bikes in Onomichi and set off to explore some of the trail which is a great day out for those who enjoy cycling.
