Hi guys! In this vlog I traveled from Kyoto to Osaka Umeda in Japan during the holidays (2022) and spent about two weeks there before moving onto Kitakyushu and Fukuoka. Although it was a bit crowded for my liking (due to the holidays) I really enjoyed staying there. It was even more memorable because of the holidays and all the beautiful decorations and lights everywhere. I definitely recommend to spend at least 3-4 days in Umeda, there is a lot to see and do aside from what I featured in this particular video. Another plus to Umeda is that it’s a major transportation hub for Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe in the Kansai region. You can easily travel to places like Universal Studios Japan by train, bus or car within a short period of time. I took the train to Osaka from Kyoto and it was perfect. 🛏️ Where to Stay
You may have heard Japan has excellent hostels. I stayed in a mix of hotels, airbnb and hostels and in the end I preferred the hostels! Not only is it a great way to meet and mingle with people (especially other travelers) in Japan it was many times superior to many mid-range hotels and Airbnbs (BY ALOT) in terms of cleanliness and service. I would definitely give it a try if you haven’t yet!
