I went to an Annual Festival of Shinagawa Shrine in Shinagawa ward. locals carry a large mikoshi (portable shrine) while dancing a unique tempoed step called the the Shinagawa Hyoshi.

Don’t miss the crew run up and down the steep steps of the shrine entrance. The festival also features over 100 open-air stands and even a child mikoshi.

Also, I stumbled across the Festival of Ebara Shrine, too!

  7. Hello Lemi very enjoyed your long live stream ,had to go out only missed the 30mins live at the end, so watched it when i came back , You said the main festival is on Sunday but this one today was very good and you made a good job filming it , Liked the mini mt Fuji and the little cakes with like snow on top , Was amazed by all those people having to carry the portable shrines up all those stairs .including very young ones even more harder walking backwards going down !!! Were lots of kids wondering about in the crowd today as well . Good your apartment was safe with the strong hurricane that caused some damage in other parts .Good you missed it and heavy rain , Once again thank you Lemi your new phone gives perfect video and sound ,Was a very interesting festival and luck you ran into another one ! Thanks again Lemi take care 😀😀😀😀⛩⛩🥢🍮

  8. Carrying a Mikoshi up that steep mini Mount Fuji must be tiring but fulfilling. You taking so many itsumen up there must have felt the same. Great job showing something I’ve never seen before! 😀
