After experiencing all sides of Marmaris, Turkey there are definitely some good and bad aspects of visiting. Cleopatra Island (kleopatra adası) and its beautiful sand makes a Marmaris holiday worthwhile almost by itself and we spend time visiting Incekum Beach and a hidden garden restaurant as well. Marmaris by day has a lot of GOOD to see.
Marmaris at night can be another story. It was our first time ever visiting Marmaris and it sure made Gokce feel like a foreigner in her own country.

I've been going back to marmaris for over 15 years now il absolutely love it and it my home away from home. I've become good friends with some locals and we visit them and have dinner and give gifts whenever we go. And one of those friends was a 15 year old boy who use to sell DVDs and now he has built a empire. He owns one of the best restaurants in marmaris and has multiple other companies. I couldn't be more proud of him😁 love turkey and I love all the people out here to😀

Hi! I don’t know if you remember me.. but it’s been a year now!!! and my mom and dad have covid🤒 and I’m now gonna live with my grandma the next days.. and me and my grandma are snowed in, because there was a snow storm in iceland 🇮🇸 but I just wanted to say hi 🙂
As a Brit it can be quite embarrassing to witness the Brits abroad and the effect we have on the local area. Sadly there's a sizeable section of our population who aren't interested in the local culture and just want Blackpool in the sun (unsurprising to see it's the same demographic that doesn't believe in/care about Covid). You could argue that this tourism brings lots of revenue to the local area but at what cost? Looks like there's lots of nice places to visit in and around Marmaris though, heading there in April.
I'm a brit myself but those kind of brits are what we prefer to avoid and believe they ruin the culture aspect of travelling..we are looking to visit marmaris with our 11 year old son, but after watching this..we are in serious doubt tbh.
I don’t like marmaris because the tourists ruin it and people there are less civilized and very arrogant if you want a nice place to go with civilized people go to Izmir or fethiye
