  1. Hello everyone, we hope you're ready for some Tempura 🍀

In the spirit of improving as well as keeping us on our toes, here's how we felt about this episode from a technical perspective:-

The segment for Tempura Kakiage Yukimura was done rather well despite audio turning out a tad odd on YouTube where in our original file it was fine. Other than that, we're quite pleased with Yukimura's segment.

The real challenge came during the filming of Tempura Kondo. This is our first experience filming a fine dining establishment that serves food that has similar characteristics across board. We had to make sure there's a balance between showing all the food without it feeling repetitive & we think we did decently well.

As the food is served by batch of customers we had to scramble to film some cooking process along with all the food close ups as they came. The fact that it's a counter seat didn't help as space was very restrictive. It was a mess at that time & we were worried it's going to turn out badly. However to our surprise we felt it turned out rather fine in the edits. Audio was surprisingly decent too considering Wei Loon's 'mumbly' , less than stellar voice hahaha… It did require rather extensive audio tweaking but it turned out decent!

Overall we're quite pleased with this episode & it signifies we can venture to try film establishments that serve foods with similar characteristics throughout the meal, ie: Yakitori, Sushi. Hope you'll enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed making it!

  2. Surprising that the restaurant allowed you to take a video. Many Japanese restaurants are not too video friendly. Some of them don’t even like you taking pictures inside their restaurants

  3. Hi Guys. Really enjoyed the video. I was at a local Japanese restaurant over the weekend and had some tempura also. One of my favourite Japanese dishes.
