In this first episode of “STREET FOOD AROUND THE WORLD IN TURKEY” we will be featuring the legendary Balkan food that always fascinated me.
We went to this traditional Balkan restaurant to try their authentic, legendary food and as soon as you get in, you have the feeling of being inside a home.
We witnessed the very unique preparation of the legendary Bosnian burek, cooked on charcoal, with the king of burek himself. After I tried it, I can easily say that is one of the best Balkan restaurants in Turkey.
After waiting for an hour for the rest of the food to be made, we’ve been introduced to the legendary Balkan food.
We had a lot of food: lamb shank, Köfte, slow-cooked beef, beans stew, Ćevapi, and so much more.
We ended up our huge Balkan feast with one of my favourite desserts of all time, Trileçe, and some traditional Balkan-style Turkish coffee.
I can easily say that this huge Balkan street food feast was absolutely legendary and the best in Istanbul, Turkey.

Address: Avliya Boşnak Mutfağı
Kocatepe, Avasköy Yolu Cd. 83/A, 34045 Bayrampaşa/İstanbul

Hope you guys enjoyed the first episode of street food around the world in Istanbul, Turkey, featuring the legendary Balkan street food.

  8. I traveled a lot though the world. There is no better food than in Bosnia. Even turkish restaurant are better in Bosnia than in Istanbul, because they use a beef instead lamb.
It's a mix of east and west kitchen.
Very cleanly restaurants and not expensive.
