To Meiji Jingu from Harajuku Station on the old wooden building’s final day
Harajuku Station’s old wooden building, the oldest of its kind in Tokyo at 96 years old, will be demolished starting tomorrow (Monday, August 24, 2020). The end of an era. Meiji Jingu is also celebrating its centennial.
What a beautiful place, thanks for this. Could you specify which building is being demolished? I really hope you are not talking about any of those buildings at the Shrine.
I hate this old station and I am glad it will be destroyed. It is too European style (Swiss/alpine). The new JAPANESE station is much better for Japanese people.

Why are they demolishing it? Its a rather beautiful building, it seems a shame to get rid of it 🙁
