I have been walking around Akabane, which is said to be a sacred place for drunk people.

Akabane is a town where you can drink from noon onwards, and is known as a sacred place for drinkers. The area in front of the station is especially popular with drinkers, as it is dotted with stores where you can get drunk for as little as 1,000 yen (known as “senbero” stores).
The area is currently under a state of emergency, so not many stores are open for business.
