Turns out there is a whole city below the city in Hiroshima! New Years Day is a special holiday in Japan, with people travelling tot heir family homes to spend quality time together. That means, of course, there is also a lot going on during the day with people celebrating and socialising. This was before covid-19, and I don’t know how much has changed since then, or if everything is back to ‘normal’ again.
