    Jaycation I worked at the Kona Kai for 2.5 days before being furloughed. The Kona Kai has 2 pools one for adults and the main/family pool in the video.

    Thanks for the video on shelter island .It looked real nice and a little escape from San Diego. I'm glad you went out on your fishing boat trip. And you caught a few fish. I almost went on a charter fishing boat with my late father, when I was a teenager, yet it was canceled. My father took us out fishing in his boats usually here in the Summer, when we were kids. We had lots of fun except if the weather cold, or the ocean rough.

    Serious nostalgia time! Haven’t been to Kona Kai, but I’ve stayed at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn several times for a conference, and I’ve eaten many times at the Red Sails Inn (extant no longer, alas) and of course Bali Hai, both as a kid and more recently. Supanee Thai Restaurant near the entrance to Shelter Island is also a favourite; give it a try if you haven’t. And the old Eichenlaub Boatyard (now renamed something else, I forget) was founded and run by the father of one of my best friends in 2nd and 3rd grade.
    4:16 – “His and Hers sink” is a bit heteronormative, no? Not all couples are he and she!

    Whenever I stay in San Diego I make sure I am close to shelter island! Humphreys is a beautiful resort and the cover bands they have at Humphreys backstage are awesome. Make sure to have the famous Mai Tai at Bali Hai that thing is crazy strong. Half price apps at the Bali Hai are a great deal too. Fiddlers Green and Ketch grill and taps were also great on Shelter Island. Truly a gam!

    Great content😂!🥰 💕Raised most of my life in San Diego n I think I’ve only been to Shelter island a small handful of times to eat @Bali Hai’s (can’t believe it’s still open) n also to spend QT with family luau on shore.😍 How is it U Filipino brah n it’s your first fishing excursion? Lols😊

    As a side note, I just landed in Barcelona yesterday afternoon. We are staying in the marina area, but walked up La Rambla to Ciutat Comal for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and service, but especially the food!
