Spider-man is closing down thanks to the rights ending. Unlike Floridia that has no end date japan did and disney wants marvel in the japan parks! This leaves jaws and beetlejuice rock as the last classic rides left in japan.
So how long does Orlando have until they lose their Marvel characters?
Verry sad! One of the best attractions in the world. What's makes me a bit angry is that Disney is forcing them to close it while not using the Marvel rights to create its own world class attractions. Web slingers is nothing compared to the Universal Studios version. I hope the one at Universal Orlando will be able to stay open.
Hoping that Japan will create a new attraction in its place perhaps Pokémon or anime related. Also sad for terminator which was also one of my favorites

I cannot believe those little evil minion characters of death got their own land. I will never go back to Universal after this.
Since Universal’s contract with Marvel is thankfully essentially indefinite in Florida unless Universal decides to close the Marvel Universe area, stop making payments for property usage, or Marvel opts out of the contract providing that it needs a reasonable explanation that Universal is mishandling the usage of their property, I hope Universal will do everything they can to keep the rights in their Universal Orlando theme park, fortunately however it is EXTREMELY unlikely they will ever lose those rights for reasons such as the fact that the Orlando Spider Man ride is still very popular and well many people like myself know that Universal understands the Marvel IP far better then Woke Disney ever will. Not to mention the Marvel area in general is still pretty popular and Universal has proven they know what they are doing with their theme parks so I doubt they would want to make the mistake of losing the Marvel license despite the fact it is now own by one of their biggest rivals especially since the contract prevents Disney from using a lot of Marvel stuff in their Disney World theme park.

Universal should end all the marvel except hold on to spidey. Since Disney doesn’t technically own Spider-Man, it’s the one IP universal should hold on to. Negotiate a deal with Sony. Then create a new spidey ride that blows away anything Disney has made. Web sloshers is a joke of an attraction.

Thank god this wasn't Orlando's Spider-Man Ride. It made me fell in love with the Web-Swinger when I was a kid. The closing of Poseidon's Fury is still too fresh on my mind.

I dont know about Minions. I really want them to do something with Trolls. Just think how cute that would be in the kids area.
iMO – Minion Con will be a fail. Kids with weapons will be climbing, and people with inner ear problems will fall due to vertigo and complaints about those who can't transfer from their carts – and a bunch of window display mannequinns as targets will doom this attraction quickly. I can't believe they green-lit this project.

really liked how USJ used Backdraft for a haunt. I think 2017 they used the entire show building for a haunt story and 2019 they used the first room as part of the haunt then exited out back for a huge outdoor area of the haunt. Good times. Good memories.

Spider-Man is my favorite attraction in the world and I am SO relieved to see its only closing in Japan and not Florida, but I am sorry for all of Universal Japan's future visitors who won't be able to ride it.

Very sad that Spider-Man / back draft/ and t-2 . Universal Japan was the closest to the original park and seeing these rides close all over again sucks. They better not close jaws !!!
