After arriving in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, I set out to try some exotic Ecuadorian food before setting off on the most epic adventure of my life.
Some of the more unusual dishes you can find in Ecuadorian cuisine include guinea pig, pig head, blood soup, and more. I couldn’t wait to try all of them on this adventure! My friend @xiaomanyc also joined me, to try some of this delicious Exotic Food before our once in a lifetime experience!

LOS AGACHADITOS DE TUMBACO: At this local spot in Tumbaco, Ecuador, I tried some fantastic intestine soup, as well as some veal, mashed potatoes, avocado, and white corn!
TUMBACO MARKET: Here, I tried some lychee, a very spicy chili, some sour raspberries, and a small orange tree tomato called a naranjilla.
EXOTIC FOOD SHOP #1: Here, I tried some pork skin, several types of chicharron, and some chicha.
EXOTIC ICE CREAM SHOP: Here, I tried some of the most exotic ice creams I’ve ever eaten in my life, including beetle ice cream and cuy ice cream. I also tried some crickets and beetles!
THE VIRGIN OF EL PANECILLO: We finished at this stunning Virgin Mary statue in Quito, where I enjoyed views of the city, tried a fig and cheese sandwich, and bought an authentic poncho made from alpaca wool!

Hi David . Good day to you. The first dish looked amazing and to go to Ecuador what a nice adventure 🙂 Market fruits veggies looks so good. I love good food. Natures goodness. Look for the cow David lol. You and your Peppers lol. OH Pork rinds that pork looks so good. All that looks delish. I love pork lol think more than beef 😀 Oh no now i couldn't eat a Guinea pig poor lil pig and bugs.. No that's one thing could not do.. I know probably a way to survive if hungry but no! lol runs back to the pork. Beautiful there would be a nice place to visit. Love all the crafts as always. Did you get that hat/mask? lol suits you grins. Oh figs I love them would eat that for snack or breakfast yes. Poncho is awesome Looks good on you.. Loved this video . Hey great video I am from Eciadorian parents and food looks amazing. The yellow grapes as you called it is are golden berries and the black raspberries those are for juice only nothing like in USA. Thanks for the report but being from USA won't eat at those places especially when you first get to Ecuador you can really mess up your stomach glad you enjoyed the food.

Omg I love Ecuadorian ❤food it’s amazing the problem is that not everyone knows how to Cook with the real yummy flavor so you have to know the good restaurants to enjoy ☺️👌 the delicious Ecuadorian food 😍 uff mote con chicharron with that spicy sauce (ají) 👌👌👌😋yummy caldo de pata 🍲 it’s delicious , Caldo de bola de plátano verde ❤❤❤ best soup for me lol 😅 ceviche de camaron 🍤 and conchas negras asadas in the. Restaurante cebiches de la rumiñahui it’s the only place that I like shrimp ceviche and conchas negras asadas but please 🙏 only that 😅the rest it’s not good at all 😂😂😂 you have to try sanduche de chancho from Guayaquil also a local called naturissimo the best frozen smoothie yogurt called yogurt persa I bet you never try something like that before yummy 👌 🥤, the morcilla that you ate it’s not the good one, the delicious 🤤 one it’s with green plantain ❤ and it’s not sweet there is also the black morcilla it’s not my favorite … but if you are lucky 🍀 you can find a good black morcilla , guatita with rice it’s yummy 😋 LLapingachos, cazuela de pescado, cangrejos, I like almost ❤93% of food from 🇪🇨 ❤ the 7% is Wierd exotic food lol like cuy 😵💫 gusanos 🐛🥴 and stuff like that lol 😅by the way that orange fruit called uvilla here in 🇺🇸 is golden berries wholefoods have it .. ✌️ great video

Coming from Ecuadorian American they are Potato pancakes full of cheese. Please don't ever compare them to mashed potatoes.😅

Guinea Pig ( Cuy) has been eaten the last 50 years in Ecuador. It is heritage from Peru where it was consumed as edible food since 7 thousands years . That white and light-brown guinea pig is called in Ecuador "raza peru" what means peruvians guinea pig
most of handicrafts that are sold in Otavalo and in Mercado Artesanal La Mariscal in Quito are brought from Peru for reselling in Ecuador. It is a win-win business, where both Peru & Ecuador have a benefit of it. Mates Burilados, Tapices de San Pedro de Cajas, Textiles en Alpaca de Cusco y Arequipa ( ponchos, sweaters, gloves, etc) , joyería en plata filigrana de Huancayo, etc. Peru thanks to Ecuadorian businesses for offering such a big quality of handicrafts in ther country
