This is my first trip in golden week in Japan and we decide to tour the west part of Japan. Starting this exciting journey with the city of Kyoto, it gets interesting further with different cities and changing modes of transport. This is just the beginning…the DAY 1.
Sorry for the audio in the video. At the time of recording, I did not have a lapel mic so the audio is not clear for the most part of the videos that I will be making in this series for Golden Week. However, it will be better as time goes by, I promise 😉
In this video, we travel to the city of Kyoto from Hamamatsu by highway bus. The highway buses and most of them in Japan are equipped with in-cabin washrooms which are a big relief. However, the washrooms are really clean and well maintained something which I miss in India. The travel begins early morning and the relaxing ride to Kyoto takes about 4 hours or so. We reach to Kyoto and visit the Fushini Inari and the famous Kinkakuji temple before we head to the city of Osaka by train. The city of Kyoto was the previous capital of Japan and the culture is very much preserved here. I loved the architecture in this city as I found a blend of traditional and modern. The vibe is very pleasant. We did see a lot of foreigners in this city maybe due to the golden week holidays but I think generally there are a lot of foreigners in this city.
After visiting the kinkakuji temple, we head towards the city of Osaka where our hotel was booked and retire for the day.
Lets meet on the next day in Osaka, stay tuned!
