I'm from Indonesia ๐ฎ๐ฉ. Soto is a very popular traditional Indonesian food, in Indonesia there are various kinds of Soto in every region. Rendang is also one of the most popular and we can find it on all islands in Indonesia.I didn't know that the food stall voters were Surinamese or native Indonesians, but in my opinion, a lot of Indonesian dishes have the wrong presentation and color ๐

DAWET IS JAVANS LANGUAGE = CENDOL. MADE FROM "TEPUNG HUNKWE" IS DELICIOUS ONE.. BUT YOU CAN MAKE ITU FROM RICE FLOUR. ORIGINAL FROM INDONESIA

Surinam food is the best. It's one big asian fusion feast.
I also love all the different the Mme Jeanette based sambals. I love the instant hotness the Mme Jeanette chili gives.

one of the few surinamers in my city that are left is nice enough to just give me a bara filled with kouseband. I'm not vegetarian, I just love kousenband. but its a good option for vegetarians.
Im Dutch, live in indonesia for 20+ years. The indonesian food in the netherlands is nothing to compare with indonesia, the taste is totally different. Real indonesian food is much much better.
