  1. I hate these toxic environmentalists, if they are so concerned about this maybe they should focus on other worse things

  2. I had heard about this, but hadn't seen the videos. Thanks for sharing. Those idiots are crazy, but to your point about alternatives (Zoom, etc.) it is another measure of performance how efficient a plane is. And I would think that anyone considering buying a 12-18 passenger jet for $10's of millions might also consider a second purchase of a smaller / shorter range secondary jet to use when it's only a few people going under 1000nm. The savings (assuming a reasonable number of short legs) would probably pay for the second plane within a few years. Also gives you alternatives during maintenance and so on.

  3. Batteries are not a long term viable option for aviation – we would be moving from one finite resource to others (cobalt, lithium, etc). Nuclear has to be an option. We have ships and submarines powered by nuclear, why not aircraft (larger commercial)? Batteries will never have the power to weight ratio to power anything but small GA aircraft.

  4. So an hour of private jet uses makes as much Carbon as an average American makes their lifetime.
So i guess we all should get a private jet and get it over with.
