I really enjoyed TeamLab Planets! It’s temporary until the end of 2023, and TeamLab Borderless (the permanent digital art museum) is re-opening later in 2023 in a new central Tokyo location in Toranomon Azabudai. There are some rooms that are the same in both, but I’d say it’s definitely worth visiting both if you can. At the start it shows you how to buy tickets, and whether you need to buy tickets in advance. At the end of the video there’s information about accessibility, what to expect, what to wear and what the water rooms are like. I’d highly recommend any TeamLab experience – they’re completely unique, fun and definitely worth it! Filmed at the end of February 2023.

Afternoon Amy & thanks for sharing these Japan tips here! Soon next year I'll be getting my plane ticket to Japan here & visit some places there! Love watching your content & stay safe!
Thank you for sharing this! We have our tickets for the end of the month! Question for you: can we do the fish market and team lab on the same day? I’m thinking they are in the same area, is that correct?
How lucky you were with that Mt Fuji view at the end, that looked gorgeous!
looking forward to the other videos you've teased as well 🙂 the shinkansen tickets one will be especially useful!
Awe job Amy .
Stunning video Amy 😍, thank you so much. I'm going to Japan in 2025 and I can't wait. Today, I've purchased your Japan guide from your website and am looking forward to its arrival ❤
Love this video! Just received your book in the mail. Your pictures do not do it justice. It is absolutely gorgeous and soooo well done. I know planning our trip will be that much easier because of your book and your videos. Thank you sooo much for all you do! Your amazing!🥰 PS the personal touch and the way the book was packaged was truly appreciated.
Amazing timing Amy! I have tickets booked for tomorrow so really appreciate the last minute advice!! ps hope you saw the instagram pic I sent you with your book by the Hachiko statue!!
Hi Amy! Thanks for the video! I'm going to Japan in October, and I'll probably go to TeamLab. As I'm only wearing dresses and skirts, I was a bit worried about the water sections (and was thinking about wearing sport short to avoid the mirror issue). Thank you very much for all the details you gave! I might borrow a short if possible, or carefully plan the length of the skirt I'll be wearing on that particular visit. I can't wait to see all the other video from your last trip to Japan 🤩🤩🤩
Great video. Thank you. I hope the new Borderless will be open by November 2023
I think TeamLab got photo-bomded by the view from the Rainbow Bridge.
I wonder what other railway routes have must-see views.
Quick note on accessibility, when we visited my wife struggled with the room that has "bean bag floors" (not sure what else to call them), and the staff were able to direct her behind a curtain along an alternate route so she could skip that room. None of us bypassed any of the other rooms, but I assume there are similar options for other rooms if needed. Wonderful place to visit! We went since we had seen Teamlab Borderless (which was closed due to relocation) highlighted on this channel, and it was well worth it!
I had to go back to the entrance on the bean bag room, as I basically could not move forward. On the day we went three of the rooms were under maintenance. the mirrored sculptures we did not see. Would recommend bringing shorts.
what an amazing experience!
For someone who hasn’t done either but only wants to do one, which one should I do?
I will say booking online is very good I booked teamlabs planets last minute why travling to odaiba at around 840am and was able to get tickets for 930am by the time I got there 920amish they only had tickets from 11am and later they also took my card with no iusse
also about the feet thing you are aloud to put your stocks on for the outside gardens area well you was when I went in december they may of change it since then
Very cool place, I have to go there sometime 🙂
You must have been in Tokyo just after us. We were there mid Feb to End. TeamLabs visit was maybe our third day there.
I’ve heard that it’s nice to go after dark because there’s a part outside that’s lit up? Is this correct?
I wish boarderless was still open or reopening by September
Was excited to see your vlog up. So informative as ever ❤ great tips , as we will be going here in July, but may have to skip the bean bag room due to a bad hip. Looking forward to the next one Amy.
It looks incredible- I've definitely added this to my to-do list: is the water chlorinated for hygeine though?…
Loved this. It was so fun! My kids liked it too
Amy, I just went to TeamLabs this past Monday at 9 am, right after the Tuna Auction and breakfast at Daiwa Sushi at the Toyosu Market. Got the tickets online the same day while standing on the line. There is also a vegan ramen restaurant in a beautiful and relaxing setting. It was great to relive the experience through your video, now that I am back home. I love your videos, they are always so informative, realistic and practical. Good work!
Worldwide Shipping……AWESOME I CAN GET ONE NOW!, how about other items on your store?
My son and I went in April , loved it . I consider myself very able but I struggled to move forward in the beanbag room . It wasn’t helped by the fact I had a dress on and trying to crawl with a dress on and the floor sinking is very hard 😂.
Though it wasn't bad, teamlabs was our worst experience in Tokyo. 40 minutes of waiting in line for about 40 minutes of stuff to see. Nearly everyone is a tourist. Crowded. There are better things to spend your time on if you're a tourist. Go see Meiji shrine.
I just got my ticket for July! I am very excited!!
After watching your video, I've booked a ticket for my last day in Tokyo next week. Not something I'd considered (being in the older crowd) but it looks fun!
TeamLab Planets was my favorite destination on my most recent Japan trap I did end of March/early April. LOVED IT.
On my way now, skipped the middle bit, cheers, have your guidebook. All very exciting.
Oh I loved TeamLab Planets! That flower projection room and the one with led's were my favorites. Those were eally immersive, I could have sat there for ages!
We booked our tickets in advance from their website which was really easy.
aww cool, it looked like someplace we would go on a field trip at school. it looks so pretty and fun. 😀
The plural of fish is ‘fish’. Fishes? 😂
