Ishin-furusato-kan (維新ふるさと館) or Museum of the Meiji Restoration is a history museum in Kagoshima. Located near by the Kōtsuki River, we can learn about the Meiji Restoration history. Sound, light, and robots are used to present a three-dimensional experience of the Meiji Restoration in the basement hall. On the first floor, exhibits describe the people, things, and events associated with Satsuma Province.

One of the largest aquariums in Kyushu is the Kagoshima City Aquarium. Located near the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal, it is accessible from Kagoshima City and Sakurajima. It exhibit the marine life of Kaogshima Coast and Kinko Bay. The Dolphin Waterway outside the aquarium provides an opportunity to view dolphins attractions.
