  1. Other words to apply to the proposed no-fly revocation legislation, and i would say the people in favor of it:
    Moronic
    Asinine
    Sophomoric
    Cognitively stunted
    Burdened by the trivial
    Delusionally inconsequential

  2. You can feel any way you want but RCID/Disney cannot violate the laws surrounding Development Agreements and Restrictive Covenants. That is the crux of the issue.

  3. OK, I worked for Florida emergency management and then I was recalled to serve again in the U.S. Navy and worked at the Pentagon after Sep 11. I worked in Anti-terrorism with a specialty in emergency management. We had to beg the theme parks to close during the September 11 issue and afterwards when we were discussing the fact that those types of places would forever more be targets. It is in our best interest as Americans to mitigate the type of disaster that could occur with a flyover freedom over these areas. These lunatics spouting stupidity should be locked up for treason.

  4. Honestly, i know there are cheaper ways to do it, but a basic trip to WDW staying at a moderate resort can cost a family of 3 like mine upwards of 10k in expenses now, probably a reason attendance is down

  5. Disney also helped Miami's tourism. It's not uncommon to see people using Miami as a stop on the way to Orlando.

The Miami Seaquarium, Children's Museum, and other local attractions didn't see the light of day until the late 70s, when the Miami industrial boom occurred.

It's not uncommon to go to Last Stop Plazas before expressways or major highways and see Publix chicken, canned sodas, and water bottles stocked in the cart. The destination? Disney Orlando!

  6. For you to not be able to see that Disney tried to not only force The state to go against the will of the people of the state of Florida is MORONIC. They also tried to get the lawmakers that they are lobbyists of to go against the will of the people and strike down the parental rights in education act.

  7. WDW has the worst pin selections, merchandise and is dirtier than the other Disney parks. Shame that most people would rather pay more for resale items from other parks than to buy there. Plus with all of the cost increases…. 😢

  8. I've been a long time viewer and supporter.

You all do incredible work. I think it's important. Especially for fans of the parks both here and abroad to be kept in the loop and up to date.

Even rumors or speculation. They in time can hold truth.

However, I instantly turn off now the moment there is a rant or opinion.

Tom, I don't doubt you are an "og" behind this channel.

When you're hosting. What can be 10+ minutes of reporting turns into an extra 10 to 20 minutes of a single opinion.

If you want to create a separate channel or podcast. Do it, I have no doubt people like to listen to what you have to say.

But, I cherish the times when you are gone and others host. Because that's when "the news" is only that.

I'm just one person. But, I fastforward or just close the video the moment you go on an opinion about change or a personal matter.

Either be a channel that reports the day to day, week to week.

Or be an individual that is upset that a popcorn bucket is now blue instead of green who is going to talk about it for the next 10 minutes.

Most of us watch this during a break in our daily lives.

10 minutes, there is a reason that's the youtube standard.

We can all eat lunch, relax and still have enough time to do what we all do.

Do you see how long winded this comment is?

This is beyond just a normal comment. It's too long.

    Weird right?

    So Tom.

Create a different channel and platform when it comes to your "rants"

    Report news, updates.

Not opinions. We didn't subscribe for opinions.

    Have a magical day.

  9. Unsubscribing. Tired of your inane take on "Disney should get their way." Their original gov't freebees have long since played out…stop hiding behind the 1st Amendment. They SAID their piece…but nowhere is it guaranteed there will be no reaction. Everything has a price. They choose a stupid take on a law they likely never read. You have decided to politically rant…not why I watch.

  10. Well if Disney wasn’t so publicly woke taking a political stand they wouldn’t be in this situation. Their movies and streaming are flopping and park attendance will suffer. Just look at Bud Light… I welcome companies suffering. I’m a 25 year DVC member who honeymooned at Disney. The country is split and as a business don’t take a side.

  11. I miss Rob Plays YTuber + many documentaries Dis Channel/ Modern Marvels that talked of the infrastructure of the WDW project. It rivals most cites! People came to Florida for gators & a few roadside attractions. WDW is more than a mere RA. Then there is Sea World, Universal, Int. Drive, etc 2 major convention centers + colossal airport! My 1st visit to WDW was AFTER 911. I felt safe there. Being from Houston, TX. After 911, I could hear the Air Force flying around (watching/protecting US). Attendance will bump UP w/ summer + new things @ EPCOT + its festivals. Great video Tom. Want that popcorn bucket.

  12. It sounds like an exaggeration but it's actually not….by saying that this is exactly the same aggressive way Hitler took power. I also personally believe that park attendance would be higher if not for some locals blindly following his lead.

  13. Thank you Tom for calling out DeSantis and the other “haters” for spending so much time and energy on NONSENSE! It is ludicrous that these politicians go after the largest employer in their state, but you know why. Just follow the money!

  14. Disney FORFEITED its "protected freedom of speech" when it MEDDLED in politics and became a lobbying arm of the left. They also BETRAYED the children by not protecting them from sexual indoctrination

  15. The problem is the republican/Democrat party liners. They constantly flip flop and love the game. Either side, they win, We the People LOOSE.

  16. Iger admits to massive fraud with Reedy Creek. The dissolution by the state was ONLY supposed to affect Reedy Creek as a government entity. There is no first amendment violation at all.

  17. The GOP is so tiresome. I long for a time when these fools are just another embarrassing scar on our history.

  18. Tom, all this is highlighted as a smokescreen and distraction to other real problems that they cannot solve. This increases eyeballs and attention away from the important.

  19. Thank you for bringing up 9/11. That was my immediate thought too — Disney World is such an obvious, clear target for anyone looking to attack "American Capitalism." Plus, the fireworks… seems like the smartest choice anyways.

  20. Instead of taking away flight restrictions, they should expand them above wdw and add them above universal parks as well.

  21. We just got back from a WDW trip. Several things were not purchased because they still don’t ship back to the room like they used to. Talk about a bad reason to lose park revenue. They must lose an average of at least $100 per reservation.

  22. Know wdw is bigger but overall I have always heard disneyland has always been the foundation to its earnings as it continues to bring in revenue day in and day out.

  23. I literally have the half rounded cookie tin and the orginal red Tokyo Disneyland bag from when I went there, back when the park was new! In the pic though, the "tin" actually looks like a plastic replica.

  24. The thing to understand about retaliation against first amendment rights is you have to show that the retaliatory actions silenced their speech (had a chilling effect). Since Iger won’t shut up about it; he’s basically undoing his case against DeSantis.

  25. You could very easily make the case that the entire metro areas (including Disney World) existence and success can be attributed to the Orlando Magic. It’s doubtful Disney World would even be on par with Six Flags without the Orlando Magic.

  26. You say you're not on either side, but your comments kind of come across like you're clearly on one side. To say that the other side is moronic takes away from your statements credibility of being neutral. I'm ok with you being on a "side." Just don't say you're not, and then sound like you are.

  27. For safety sake, I like the idea of no fly zones over major theme parks. If they are concerned about Disney getting special treatment why not just extend it to other major theme parks that meet certain attendance thresholds?

  28. Walt Disney worked to set up Reedy Creek because of how bad California handled the area around Disneyland when it was built. It was not planned. It was out of control. And people blamed Disney. He said, "We don't want to do that again," and Florida worked to develop Reedy Creek. Disney, and even you, can say anything you want, but if you are receiving special treatment from the state, don't expect it to continue. I love Disney, but they aren't being mistreated to be treated exactly like everyone else.

  29. Disney should sell their popcorn buckets online which would stop people from buying them up then selling them on EBAY .

  30. DeSantis is not going to let this go because he is to far entrench in this now he is to far behind trump he desperately need this victory over Disney so he can gain ground over trump. He has nothing else to help me against trump

  31. Tom, when you say "I'm in the middle begging for our government, on 'both sides,' to stop worrying about nonsense," can you clarify what you mean? Specifically, can you cite instances of politicians on the left engaging in similar "nonsense." It seems to me like you are making a "both sides are the same" argument, yet you never actually list anything that Democrats are doing that is comparable to the "nonsense" that is performed by Republicans.

  32. go woke go broke!. u are scared becaise u built ur business on this. so shove it. i hope wdw fails!!!!😂😂😂

  33. I agree with what the florida government is doing. The american education system needs to be put in check along side the corporations and conglomerates working within America. They are taking away "individual" freedoms for the sake of their own ideals. They need to be put in check and rolled back.

  34. I wouldn't expect the attendance at DW to get much better. Nobody wants to go on vacation and get up early for Lightning Lanes. Nobody wants to pay for them also. Disney has basically alienated those families that would want to spend a week on vacation. People paid big bucks for a vacation that wasn't worth it. Too bad that before the pandemic they had a winning formula. The drop in attendance has nothing to do with the end of the 50th, but rather it has to do with the experience guests are having and it is not a goid one. Add in inflation and less disposable income and then you get your answer.
