Nanjichang Night Market (南機場夜市) is all about traditional Taiwanese food, there are no games or shopping vendors here, just good food. Nanjichang (South Airport Night Market) is located in Wanhua District in Taipei City. It’s a local favorite and usually unknown to tourists as it’s not near any MRT and requires a 20 min walk from Lungshan Temple MRT Station through the old streets of Wanhua.

Today we will try some of the best traditional street food in Taipei. This is a hidden gem for street food lovers and those who like to explore Taipei like the locals. Filmed in 4k HD in November 2021. Taiwan is known for night markets and has some of the best outdoor and night markets in Asia.

I’m a Taiwanese American that grew up in Southern California and have moved back to Taiwan to Taipei in 2012. Join me and my wife as we explore Taiwan’s night markets, popular and hidden destinations.

We’ll explore Taiwan’s Night Markets, street foods and travel scene. Along with the popular places in Taiwan, over time we’ll go in depth to many places other youtubers never visit since we know most of the local and hidden spots and are able to explore smaller towns and far away villages that need a car to reach. Taiwan is a magical island with tens of thousands of temples, shrines, amazing food, endless 7-11s and boba shops and vending machines.

I’ll give you my perspective having lived in both countries for many years.

  1. Another great video! If I can give some friendly feedback: one of the things that makes your videos special is that there is NOT a lot of talking, music, and sound effects … I would like to encourage you to go back to having no sounds except the sounds of the night market.

  2. 私は台湾の蒸しパンが大好きです。😃📹あなたの映像は、美しくまるで自分が歩いて現地にいるみたいです。👍😄次のupを楽しみにしています。🙆

  3. My wife and i go to Taiwan every few years and if it wasnt for the pandemic we would have gone last year.

I have had some of these before and this makes me miss them even more.

Great video, really nice framing of the food and of the people making the food. (Minus the one sound effect i mentioned in the other comment. )

  4. I really enjoy your videos! During pandemic & I can’t go to TW for travel anymore but watching your videos can make me feel like Taiwan is just in front of me. Hope can go back to TW soon. Thank you & keep making great videos in the future. Stay safe!
